Day 01 - AIRPORT / MARAWILA: Arrival in Sri Lanka. You will be picked up at Colombo airport and after a 1 hour drive you will be in Marawila, where you will check in at the Carolina Beach Hotel and relax on the Indian Ocean after the long flight. Day 02 - 03 - MARAWILA: Breakfast in the hotel and day with your own activities. Dinner and overnight at the Carolina Beach Hotel.
Day 04 - MARAWILA / DAMBULLA: Breakfast at the hotel and ride by bike to Dandagamuwa, then transfer by bus to Dambulla. Arrival in Dambulla and visit to the Dambulla Rock Temple. Dambulla Viharaya contains an abundance of precious objects from the earliest times to the late 18th century and shows the development of Sinhala Buddhist art. So many artifacts from a long history in one place is rare. The temples contain 153 images of Buddha, 3 images of kings and 4 images of gods and goddesses. There are also 4 main monasteries and within this complex the monks started the militant nationalist movement against the British in 1848. These 80 or more caves tell of the inhabitants that date back to the 3rd century BC. Five main caves house the sacred Buddhist shrines. The stupa was built in the 5th century AD and the caves contain valuable paintings and countless Buddha sculptures. Among the paintings, two of the most magnificent show the temptation of the Buddha by the demon Mara and the Buddha's first sermon. After visiting the temple, transfer to the hotel. You check in at the hotel and can then take a tour of the country roads with the eBike. Dinner and overnight at Pelwehera Village Resort (3 *) in Dambulla.
Day 05 - DAMBULLA / SIGIRIYA / DAMBULLA: After breakfast you will ride the eBike to a rural village market to buy vegetables, spices, etc. On this day you have the opportunity to meet up with a village family and prepare food (a few curries) together with the group. You drive to Sigiriya to climb the Sigiriya rock fortress from the 5th century, which was built by King Kashyapa (477 - 495 AD) and is a World Heritage Site. Also known as Lion Rock because of the huge lion that stood on the top of the 600-foot rock at the entrance to the palace. On its summit are the foundations of the royal palace, water tanks for the water supply and all other buildings, as well as the guard houses on the edges. On one of the stairs, the only known ancient work of Sinhalese secular painting in the form of frescoes of 21 life-size plumber girls in the freshness and delicacy of their original color has been preserved. The water gardens, the fountain garden, the summer house, the bouldering gardens and the caves with the fenced ones cannot be overlooked. You will return to the village house and enjoy the Sri Lankan food that you have prepared with the family. Dinner and overnight at Pelwehera Village Resort Terrain: Mostly flat village streets and canal paths (day trip DAMBULLA / SIGIRIYA - approx. 65 km / return to Dambulla - approx. 28 km)
Day 06 - DAMBULLA / NAULA / KANDY: After breakfast, you will travel by eBike to Naula, the famous center of the island and the beginning of the hill country. We finish the drive in Naula and take the bus to Kandy. Kandy is a beautiful city with a lot to offer, whether you want to relax or go on a discovery tour. After breakfast you can simply enjoy the gentle life in the center of Kandy before going to the magnificent Temple of the Tooth. This Buddhist temple cannot be missed and is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy. The Temple of the Tooth is home to the relic of the Tooth of Buddha and for many years this relic has played an important role in local politics. We also recommend that you visit it during one of the ceremonies at noon or at sunset. Overnight at Hotel Suisse (3 *) in Kandy. Day 07 - KANDY / PINNAWALA / KANDY: Breakfast at the hotel and drive to the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. The Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Sri Lanka. The number of "orphans" has now grown to 65, making it the largest number of captive elephants in the world. The ages of elephants range from newborns to older matriarchs, including orphaned and abandoned elephants and those injured in the wild. You return to Kandy by bus and explore the city. Visit the Peradeniya University campus and enjoy panoramic views of the picturesque city from Upper Lake Drive. Overnight at the Hotel Suisse
Day 08 - KANDY / NUWARAELIYA: After breakfast you will take the train through the tea plantations to Nuwaraeliya.
DEPARTURE: Peradeniya: 8.57 am ARRIVAL: Nanuoya: 12.40 pm (Train tickets can be purchased 30 days before departure. We reserve the right to change train / seat availability at the time of booking.) Arrival at Nanuoya station and transfer to Nuwaraeliya. Visit Nuwaraeliya for its invigorating mountainous climate and scenery. It is Sri Lanka's most popular mountain resort. Nuwaraeliya is also the heart of Sri Lanka's tea country, which produces a significant proportion of the world's best tea. This is where Sri Lanka's highest mountain is located, Piduruthalagala (8282 feet). Nuwaraeliya also has one of the finest 18-hole golf courses in South Asia. Day 09 - NUWARAELIYA / STAY AT THE BEACH: After breakfast, transfer by bus to the beach. You will visit the Pedro Tea Factory and Estate en route to see how the world-famous Ceylon tea is made. Then transfer to Ahangama. Arrive, check in and relax. Dinner and overnight at Gartons Cape Hotel (3 *) - Lagoon Superior Room in Ahangama
Day 10 - STAY AT THE BEACH: Breakfast in the hotel and day with your own activities. Dinner and overnight at Garton's Cape Hotel
Day 11 Excursion to GALLE: Breakfast at the hotel and explores Galle on an e-bike. Galle was once the main port of Sri Lanka. It is still known for handmade lace. You can tour the Galle Fort (over 90 acres), originally built by the Portuguese and later expanded by the Dutch in 1663. This is also a world heritage site. Dinner and overnight at Gartons Cape Hotel ** On this day the eBikes will be handed in.
Day 12-13 - STAY AT THE BEACH: Breakfast in the hotel and day with own activities.

Day 14 - BEACH STAY / AIRPORT: After breakfast transfer to the airport for departure. (AHANGAMA / AIRPORT - approx. 2 ½ hours)
