Tour route

  • 1. Innsbruck

Individual arrival.

2. Innsbruck - Brixen (55 km by bike + 40 km transfer)

On today's stage you reach the Brenner Pass with a transfer and then cycle along the Eisack Valley Cycle Path to Brixen. The marked cycle path is partly flat and slightly uphill through picturesque villages to the Fortezza Fortress. Past the Vahrner See, you cycle to the traditional Neustift monastery and from there to Brixen.

3. Bressanone - Bolzano (45 km)

The stage to Bolzano is quite short, so you can treat yourself to a stop in the artist town of Klausen with its imposing Säben monastery hill.

4. Bolzano - Trento (65/70 km)

On the bike path you follow the Etsch, it goes past apple orchards and wine-growing areas and through the villages of Auer, Neumarkt and Salurn. You cycle along the bank towards Trento.

5. Trento - Desenzano / Peschiera (50 km by bike + ferry)

You will reach Rovereto and Mori. From here there is a substantial ascent westwards to Lake Garda. Before leaving for Riva, you should definitely enjoy the view of the lake from above! You take the ship to the southern tip of the lake. The shipping alone is worth the trip.

6. Desenzano / Peschiera - Verona (60/35 km)

Today the tour takes you to Verona. Worth seeing are the Roman arena, the church of San Zeno and Juliet's house.

7. Verona - Vicenza (75/40 km)

You start in Verona on a flat route and then cross the Colli Berici, a hilly region south of Vicenza. If the stage is too long for you, you can take the train at several stations.

8. Vicenza - Padua (45 km)

You leave Vicenza and drive along the Bacchiglione river past the beautiful Villa Rotonda. The route takes you to the fascinating city of Padua with its famous Giotto Chapel and one of the largest squares in Europe, the “Prato della Valle”.

9. Padua - Mestre / Venice (40 km)

You cycle along the Brenta Canal, which is lined with magnificent villas of the Venetian nobility (Villa Pisani, Malcontenta, Villa Widmann). In this way you will reach Mestre, the mainland of Venice. You can decide whether you want to stay overnight in Venice for an additional charge. In Venice, city of canals and bridges, it is forbidden to ride a bike, but it is also forbidden to push it by hand. You are only allowed to cycle to Piazzale Roma or Santa Lucia train station.

10. Mestre / Venice

Departure after breakfast.

For organizational reasons, due to the weather situation or according to the regulations of the local authorities, some changes in the course of the tour may occur before and / or during the holiday.

Along the route you could find diversions (for example due to construction work) that we cannot foresee; in this case you decide for yourself how you want to handle this route.

Due to strikes, bad weather, technical problems, security reasons or other reasons that should not allow the departure of the ferry from Riva del Garda to Peschiera / Desenzano, the ferry company can delay, cancel or reroute the shipping without prior notice. In the event that the boat trip is canceled, we offer an alternative form of transport, usually a bus transfer. This also applies if the departure of the ferry is no longer planned, for example at the end of the season.
